Our Instructors

Lisa.JPG

Lisa

Lisa has been into fitness and sports since she was very young. In college, she was the coxswain for the Purdue women’s crew team and competed at the national level every senior year. A big part of her job was to understand how best to motivate each individual rower to perform at their highest levels. This skill has become very useful in the dojo for teaching fitness kickboxing.

Lisa has been taking classes at Magnolia Fitness for over five years and has yet to find a more fun yet challenging workout.

Lisa’s approach to teaching is to help students understand the fundamentals of Kickboxing for optimal physical fitness and to help them have a great time along the way!

Courtney

Courtney grew up in North Carolina where she played soccer and competed as a cheerleader. Don’t let her southern roots fool you though, she's full of sass, knows how to throw a mean hook and can probably kick over your head.

Courtney was first introduced to cardio kickboxing about seven years ago and heavy bag kickboxing five years ago. She's ready to make you push your limits and work out hard in a fast paced class with music to match!

Besides kickboxing, Courtney loves to travel and explore the PNW, bake sweet treats (if you are lucky you’ll get a homemade donut after a Squaturday class soon) and play with puppies.

Michelle

Michelle joined Magnolia Fitness five years ago as a Kickboxing student. After barely surviving her first class and feeling the complete soreness the following day, she was hooked! Michelle has been teaching Kickboxing regularly for the past several years.

Michelle is a big believer in group training and the relationships that stem from such a positive and empowering environment. She has strong enthusiasm about health and wellness, and enjoys helping others find success through fitness!

When she’s not punching the bag, Michelle enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest’s unlimited hiking trails with her dogs and two super cool kids, eating all the good food and drinking all the good drinks.

Testimonials

“The daytime classes are perfect for me and despite being pretty fit, I was exhausted at the end. I would recommend you pace yourself. It doesn’t get any easier as the class goes on! A very friendly class environment with no bravado, ego or aggression. I highly recommend you give it a try.”

“This place has an amazing kickboxing class! I'm fairly new and they went above and beyond to help me adjust to an injury too!”

“I've been taking kickboxing classes for the past month and the classes have been awesome! I have lost 7lbs and 2 inches off my waistline. It's a great workout with a fun group on people. I would highly recommend it for all fitness levels.”
